Book Eric Holt for a speaking engagement or Interview.

I often get asked to speak at different events (in-person and virtual). I can’t attend them all, but I love to add value where I can and meet great people.

My main topics are hip-hop business, black culture, the music industry, live music trends, and entrepreneurship. I’ve spoken on these topics for events at Amazon Studios, Dell Technologies, Noom, Red Bull, Howard University, Vanderbilt University, and more.

To have me speak at your event, fill out this form and I’ll get back to you. I’m unable to respond to every request, but if there’s a fit, I’ll get back to you.

CHARGE CONFERENCE - Nashville, TN

After years of being a successful entrepreneur in the entertainment space, Eric has taken lessons from his own experiences and translated them into a selection of charismatic talks. Though he is frequently associated with Lovenoise, the marketing and lifestyle company of which he is CEO, Eric has established himself as a separate entity in order to champion others. The “bold leadership” concepts that he teaches, extracted from two decades in the music industry, work just as well as keynote speeches on a corporate or college stage. Eric bullet points how courage, confidence, and positive self-talk were essential to pushing through the inevitable rejection that he faced on his own entrepreneurial path. As he jokes, there wouldn’t be a series of talks if he hadn’t overcome a lot of self-doubt and heard a whole bunch of “no’s.”

Eric, a law-educated concert promoter, famously walked away from financial security to instead follow his instincts and try his hand at the music industry. As the first concert promoter in his hometown Nashville to champion black music, Eric would go on to quite literally, change the face of the entertainment industry and make great leaps towards eliminating prejudice. As the speaker explains, he attributes is success to choosing causes that stirred his soul over stability.

Though he took a leap of faith, the success of Lovenoise is proof that one can be profitable and pursue their passion. Eric’s original talks, such as “Getting to the ‘No’” explore the concept of self-permission, meaning that most of his successes simply came from giving himself the greenlight—versus talking himself out of an idea before he stepped out the door. As he shares with audiences, even when Eric doubted himself, he simply moved forward and tweaked what he was doing as needed. “You have to tell yourself “yes” so you can eventually get to the person who tells may or may not tell you “no,” explains the entrepreneur who prides himself on his ability to pivot and monetize unique services that will never fit into a traditional box.

Similarly, “Courage for Change,” another original talk, explores the idea of the power of positive thinking and being receptive to the feedback of others. Throughout his career, Eric has turned obstacles into opportunities by being willing to take criticism. In constantly looking for the silver lining in any situation, even if he did get a “no,” Eric has been able to flip his own switch from negative to positive. By having the humility to listen to others, he was able to refine his procedures and sales pitches to get to the “yes,” a little quicker the next

Finally, Eric, who gave up guaranteed money for a career rich in experiences, is often hired to relay his own entrepreneurial journey. One of his personal philosophies is “Boldness and Broadness in Thought,” referring to the power of putting aside one’s own preconceptions in order to welcome new paths and ways of thinking. In Eric’s eyes, it doesn’t matter what others have done. No matter how unique the services you are offering, if you can clearly communicate your value to others, and stand behind it, the contracts will come. He encourages audiences to have faith in themselves, put aside any criticisms they’ve internalized, and practice harnessing their courage. Once Eric believed that he could bring a lot to world, it started opening its doors.
